Ridgeflow runs in your web browser. The icon on your home screen is a shortcut to it. Deleting the icon does not delete your account. Your saved routes and favourites are kept with your account. They come back when you sign in.
iPhone or iPad
Open Safari. This step does not work in other browsers on an iPhone.
Tap Install app. If you do not see it, tap Add to Home screen.
Laptop or desktop
Bookmark ridgeflow.camp. In Chrome or Edge you can also click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
Two things live on the phone, not in your account. Offline maps must be downloaded again from the Offline tab. If you have trips in My Trips, export them as a GPX file before you remove the app.
I can't sign in
You forgot your password. Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. We email you a link and a 6-digit code. Use either one. Check your spam folder if it has not come in a few minutes.
You saved a recovery code. Tap Forgot password? and enter it there with a new password. No email is needed.
You signed up with Google. Tap the Google button. There is no Ridgeflow password on that kind of account, so a reset email will not help.
None of that works. Email us (below). We can sort it out by hand.
Paying, the 14-day trial and cancelling
You can try every feature for 14 days. A card starts the trial, and nothing is charged until day 14. Stripe emails you a week before it ends. Cancel before day 14 and you pay nothing; if you don't, your plan starts on day 14. Without a trial or a plan the app asks you to start one; a route someone shares with you still opens for anyone.
To change your card, get a receipt or cancel, open the app and tap Account. Then tap Manage subscription. That opens the billing page run by Stripe, who take our card payments. Your next payment date and amount are shown there.
Cancelling stops the next payment.
A charge you do not know? Check the list of payments on that billing page, or email us.
An offline map is missing
You removed and added the app again. Offline maps are stored on the phone, so they went with it. Download them again from the Offline tab.
On an iPhone. Safari may clear stored maps if you do not open the app for about a week. Open the app the day before a trip and check the Offline tab.
Your phone was low on space. The phone may clear stored data to make room. Free some space, then download the map again.
Always check that your map is there before you lose signal, not after.
The map is acting up
No blue dot, or it is in the wrong place. Your browser needs to be allowed to use your location. On an iPhone, open Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Location Services, and set Safari Websites to allow. On Android, tap the icon at the left of the address bar in Chrome, then allow Location.
The position jumps around. Under trees or in a deep valley, a phone's GPS is less exact. Give it a minute in the open.
Still wrong after an update. Close the app fully and open it again. That loads the newest version.
Tell us the email address you signed up with, and what you were doing when it went wrong. That is often enough to fix it in one go.
Is a track, a place or a route wrong? Open the menu and tap Report a problem at the bottom. It works with no signal too. It is sent when you are back in range. We can't write back to you from it, so email us if you want an answer.
Usage reports
The app sends us short reports with no name and no location. They tell us when something breaks. The privacy page says what is in them. Some visits are also recorded as a replay of the screen, with the map and anything you type hidden, so we can see what went wrong. This switch turns off both on this phone. Page views are also counted by Cloudflare, our host, with no cookies; this switch does not change that.
